David P.E. Burkett is a Partner with Knox, Lemmon & Anapolsky, LLP.

Mr. Burkett is a life-long Northern California resident. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, receiving honors in the major.  He moved to Sacramento to attend the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and graduated in 2002 receiving his Juris Doctorate with great distinction. He was admitted as a member of the California State Bar in 2006.

Following law school, Mr. Burkett served for one year as a law clerk with Judge Earl H. Carroll in the United States District Court, District of Arizona. He spent the following 13 years with the Porter Scott law firm in Sacramento.

Mr. Burkett has extensive experience in handling and litigating business disputes, from intake through trial and appeal. He has litigated cases involving employment claims, business torts, medical malpractice and elder abuse, civil rights, construction defect and product liability issues. 

Mr. Burkett is admitted to practice in the United States District Court of the Eastern and Northern Districts of California, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He also serves as the choir conductor for St. Athanasius Orthodox Christian Church in Sacramento.
