Megan Shaw graduated from Gonzaga University, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a minor in Criminal Justice in 2008. She obtained a Master of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University in 2012, and went on to earn her Juris Doctorate in 2024 from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. While there, Ms. Shaw was a student member of the Anthony M. Kennedy Inn of Court and earned the Melissa C. Brown Legal Clinic Honors award for performing 140 pro bono hours. Ms. Shaw was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2025.

Ms. Shaw’s practice at Knox Lemmon & Anapolsky LLP is primarily focused on business litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, and law and motion practice. Ms. Shaw also supports our business transactional practice.

Prior to joining Knox Lemmon & Anapolsky LLP, Ms. Shaw worked as an alternate public defender in Placer County, California. In that role, she handled misdemeanor criminal and domestic violence cases, several of which were dismissed for insufficient evidence. Ms. Shaw’s practice included law & motion work, negotiations, and extensive time spent in the courtroom defending her clients.

Ms. Shaw is a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association, the Placer County Bar Association, the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Bar Association, and is a founding director of the Disability Inclusivity Bar Association of Sacramento (DIBAS). When not working, she enjoys reading crime novels, playing with Pandora, her cat, spending time with family and friends, and learning how to crochet.
